I read somewhere that one of the major determinants of a happy life is to achieve financial independence by ones fortieth birthday. When I looked at my predicament on approaching to my 40th I was no where near any financial reliance. In spite of earning good salary my account would regularly go into red near the end of month. Rising cost of living and Government policies meant that you could only be in a financial bliss if you were a DINKS (Double Income No Kids) family. With a rather large trade already open, there was not enough margin to open more trades. The only option for me was to wait till the open trade brought about any favourable outcome. Anxiously glued to the computer screen I watched every little price action for two and a half days, the trade went from bad to worse to even worse – it seemed as if Forex god had fallen out with me. Finally on third day I got the inevitable margin call blowing my account to extinction. Undeterred by this failure I refunded my account and started all over again with a determination not to repeat the mistakes. Over the next few months no matter what I did, I met with one failure after another. Before I knew I had lost about 12 grand of my hard earned money. By this time I was so completely done with Forex Trading.
I spent next few months licking my wounds. Slowly recovered from the anguish and trauma of the experience.
